A step-by-step guide to IELTS preparation…

Last week, I spent a few days pulling together a guide explaining how to establish an effective IELTS preparation strategy. In the guide, I argue that four prelimenary steps are necessary when forming a study strategy:

Step 1 – Understand what the IELTS is and how it operates.

Step 2 – Establish your current IELTS band.

Step 3 – Compare your current IELTS band with your forecasted IELTS band and create a timeline.

Step 4 – Create an actionable schedule for your studies.

To read the detailed guide, visit the “How to prepare for IELTS” section of this website.

    Dear Ryan,

This is to give my heartiest THANKS to you & your valuable resources. I was able to upgrade my band score from 5.5 to 6.5 (which I was needed) within 15 days of joining with your blog & website. I just watched your videos & your podcast regularly. So thank you very much for your valuable support for the test takers like me who lives in non English speaking countries.

Best wishes for your future efforts….

    Dear Ryan,
Thank you for your blog on IELTS, its really helpful. I have enrolled myself for the IELTS test scheduled for June 21st, in Nairibi Kenya and am preparing myself through most of your materials available on your website. I also need to buy your writing task books and wanted to know it there is anyway that I can glimpse in it. Moreover, please confirm whether it will be available straight away as a download, once I have made the payment via credit card online. It wasn’t really clear so I need a confirmation from you.

Also on the graph (on Scottish Female smokers), that you had recently posted, I have attempted to write the narrative and wanted to post on your website for free feedback, Unfortunately, it did not work, hence I am appending the write-up below, to receive a free feedback from you, if possible.

The table from Statistics Scotland illustrates smoking trends among Scottish females between the years 2003 and 2005.
It is evident from the chart that the percentage of female Scottish smokers declined steadily for those aged 45 and above during the three year period. This steady decline was from a high of approximately 32% to a low of 13%. The highest percentage of female smokers, were those belonging to the age group of 16 and 24 . The lowest percentage of female smokers (13%), were aged 75 and above, who continued to smoke between 2003 and 2005.
The smoking trends among those aged 16 and 44 years old remained relatively steady during the period under review. Female smokers who represented this group, fluctuated between 26% and 32%.
Look forward to hearing from you.
    Many thanks,
