Over the past decade, so many shopping centres have mushroomed all over the Globe. As a result, some people choose shopping centre’s and few people still opt traditional local markets. There are several advantages to the both sides. After analysing the advantages of the both sides, an opinion will be given.

Firstly, local markets have been existing since the beginning of the time. They were a great place for purchasing household items for many people. The main advantage of opting local market’s is the quality and trust. That is, local markets mainly sell the stock produced by local farmers and hence it guarantees to be of more fresh and healthy. Another advantage is it is also a great way of supporting local community business people which in turns creates numerous employment opportunities for local people. Thus it eliminates a notion of migrating to the foreign place in search of work. Hence it is clear why many people prefer local markets.

On the other hand, the proliferation of shopping centres is a new trend. In fact, shopping centres have several benefits and it lead to the quick development and widely accepted by so many consumers. The primary advantage of shopping centres is being a one stop place for all needs. Usually, shopping centres are really big with several kinds of stores. For instance, I visit a shopping centre on the weekend and I do stationary, grocery and every shopping I need in one place. This is very time saving and relaxing. Hence, it is clear why so many people prefer shopping centres rather local markets.

Following the insight of advantages of both shopping centres and local markets, it is hard not to side with the more modern approach of opting shopping centres.

On the one hand, many people argue shopping malls offer more convenient than markets. — Shouldn’t ‘convenient’ be changed to ‘convenience’? Like your site, Ryan.
